We have all gotten exactly what we wanted– Netflix announced the renewal of Nobody Wants This, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Since the series was released on the platform on September 26, the show has received an incredible following. And how could it not? It felt like Seth Cohen (Adam Brody in The O.C.) was back on our TV screens all these years later with Kristen Bell shining brightly beside him.
Nobody Wants This follows Noah (Adam Brody), a rabbi, and Joanne (Kristen Bell), an agnostic woman, as they develop an unlikely relationship that captures everyone from the start. Fans took to Instagram to voice exactly how they feel, with one fan commenting, “Why is it called Nobody Wants This when it’s all I want right now?” Another fan said, “I’m warning you if you don’t give us a season 2 I’m leaving a one star review for Netflix every day for a YEAR.”
It seems Netflix listened. The platform announced a week ago that the hit new show would return for Season 2.
“The world is healing, one Adam Brody at a time,” one fan responded to the news.
Show creator Erin Foster recently interviewed with Netflix about the inspiration behind the show. She told the platform, “This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy. But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable— there’s nothing to complain about. So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard.”
