This one is obviously a 10/10! No question about it!
How could I pass up a book with a main character who works at an NYC publishing house and has a Masters in Victorian Literature? HELLO, I can’t. This book was absolutely adorable (and to be honest, very steamy), and I was confused on all the reviews complaining about its cheesy predictability? OBVIOUSLY IT’S GOING TO BE! This absolutely didn’t take away from the overall enjoyable nature of the book. This is definitely a good read if you’re looking for something distracting and easy to read. It’s a cute enemy to lovers vibe, so you have to go into this knowing it’s going to have sprinkles of cheesy all in it.
The movie, starring Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell, was spot on, which prompted me to read the book. Definitely some differences between the two including the ending (!!!!!) so still some surprises while reading.
